A man has died after falling from the roof of an eight-story building at a construction site in Sydney’s south-west.
Emergency services rushed to Northumberland Street, in the centre of Liverpool, about 12.30pm on Thursday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics worked on the 52-year-old man but he died at the scene.
Local police and WorkCover are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
“SafeWork is investigating an incident in Liverpool after reports a worker fell from the roof of an eight-story building and died,” a SafeWork NSW spokesman said. “SafeWork Inspectors are responding and further comment is not available at this time.”
The man is yet to be formally identified and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
