An investigation is now underway after a man died following a workplace accident at an abattoir in Cowaramup on Tuesday morning, February 4.
It is understood the man, an employee at Western Meat Processors, dropped a knife he had been using which struck him in the thigh just before 8am on February 4.
Emergency services personnel attended the scene, however, the man later died as a result of his injuries.
The Mail understands that a WorkSafe inspector attended the site following the accident and attended again today, February 5.
