A man has been crushed to death while operating machinery in a horror accident at a metal fabricator in Melbourne.
The 46-year-old was using a turret punch to perforate sheet metal when he became trapped between the machine and workbench in Epping on Friday.
WorkSafe is investigating the incident.
The death brings the Victorian workplace fatality toll for 2021 to four – 14 fewer than at the same time last year.
