Monit was born in a panel shop, not an office. In 2000, when there was no suitable WHS system for the seven panel shops he was overseeing, a frustrated panel beater started building his own safety process in Excel. That simple system quickly spread to other repairers, then to networks, then to other industries across Australia.

Over more than two decades, Monit has moved from spreadsheets to purpose-built, cloud-based, mobile technology. Along the way it became the first WHS company in Australia to franchise, then evolved into a distributed workforce model to better serve both single sites and national networks. Monit’s story is one of continual refinement, shaped by real workshops, real incidents and real regulator expectations, not theory.
Because of this history, Monit understands the pressures of repair work, insurer deadlines, workshop flow and the realities of managing staff on the floor. That depth of experience is built into every part of the platform, giving panel shops a WHS system that genuinely fits how they work.
