A raccoon broke into a liquor store in Ashland, Virginia, smashed several bottles and apparently drank some of the spilled alcohol. A worker found it passed out on the bathroom floor on Saturday, 29 November 2025.
Hanover County animal protection officers collected the raccoon and took it to a shelter. After several hours recovering, it was released back into the wild without signs of injury.
