An injured man has been flown to hospital after a horror accident left him trapped by the hand in farm machinery for several hours.
The man, aged in his 20s, tried to call for help but was faced with poor phone coverage on a farm southwest of Kingaroy, a RACQ Lifeflight spokeswoman said.
He eventually managed to contact help through an emergency app on his phone.
The rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene just after 1.30pm on Friday.
Emergency crews worked together to free the man’s hand, which had been seriously injured.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition under the care of the aeromedical team.
