A Goldfields worker has died after being crushed in a worksite accident. Perth-based engineering company Monadelphous said the accident happened at its workshop services in Kalgoorlie today.
Managing director Rob Velletri said emergency services attended but were unable to save the man. Mr Velletri said a thorough investigation will be conducted into the death and the company will work with authorities.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague in the close-knit community of Kalgoorlie,” he said. “We extend our sincere condolences to our employee’s family, friends and colleagues during this very difficult time.
“The wellbeing of our people is our primary focus, and support is being provided to our employee’s family, as well as to our team in the Goldfields.”
